We managed to lock up as last, Abu Hamza al-Masri; a pretty unsavoury character after what the authorities say was a period of “close and painstaking” joint efforts. What took so long?
What I don’t understand is that although he has been jailed for 7 years, he may be able to be released after only 18 months!!!! I do wonder sometimes, what is the point of expensive surveillance, policing costs and court time in a case like this, to see someone convicted, jailed and then be able to walk out after only a potential 22% of time served!!! Maybe he will enjoy his next holiday in the USA. Of course he could be totally innocent!
