As the ‘independence‘ problems intensify in Sri Lanka, I have just picked up a follow-up story on the original story of the recent Tamal Tiger bomb attack.
It turns out that she was pregnant!
This fact apparently allowed her to hide the ‘deadly’ bomb to get through various security checkpoints and set off the bomb.
What drives someone not only to take their own life in such a way, but also to take another innocent life that didn’t even have the chance to run away.

I’d hazard a guess at several possible factors. Maybe desperation, maybe indoctrination, revenge…….Agreed though it’s hard to understand from the safety of our keyboards someone blowing themselves and their unborn child up.
