UK is on a tight rope!

One the many interesting facts that I can come across when reading some of the articles written so far in the Ineos/Unite dispute is that Ineos manufactures most of the UK’s supply of Chlorine. It also appears that if anything happened to the Ineos Runcorn plant where the Chlorine is made, the UK would run out of safe drinking water in 3 days!

I find it quite disturbing that the UK is again dependant on one single supplier of chlorine and to me is another good example of how successive UK  governments have let the infrastructure of UK disintegrate to the state it’s in today. I’m not saying that everything should be nationalised, but certain major UK infrastructures need to be in Public Ownership.

I don’t think that there is any major UK infrastructure, such as Electric, Water, Transport etc.  that remains in public ownership. What a shambles.
