Again, I seem to have not being paying attention to ‘Time’ and it still gets away from me. Must do better.
So, we had the election and as we know Labour ended up with a bit of a landslide in MP’s elected. But what about some deeper analysis? Well, it seems this election looks like it will be one of the most analysed ever.
Leaving aside the main-stream media analysis, I thought it would be good to look at some of the not so well known organisations to look at their own analytics – so in no particular order…

From Electoral Calculus – This site contains a very good set of analytics about many aspects of the 2024 results.
The map on the left shows the seats that Labour held in 2019 and what they now hold. – Click on the map for a larger version and the relevant report.
The whole site was predicated on predictions, but it still makes for some interesting reading.

King’s College London – Is a great place for discussion topics of a wide variety of subjects. Their UK General Election 2024: King’s expert analysis and insights page offer up a vast collection of talking points covering the weeks leading up to the election.
The main analysis can be found on the Kings analysis election night special page and the resultant outcome. We’re they right?

Economics Observatory’s – What happened in the 2024 UK general election? page is full of interesting charts using source data from a wide variety of place.
Makes for interesting reading and digs into areas such as share of the Muslim vote and far right parties.

UK Election Analysis pulls together a collection of some 80 plus short analysis papers from a variety of sources covering topics such as Democracy and representation, The nations and regions, Policy and strategy and Personality politics and popular culture to name a few.
They have also put together a very well-produced PDF with good links and lots of very interesting charts containing all the reports. This is a very worthwhile read.
