Earley Reservoir extension nearing completion.

Time moves on with this project and many thanks to Robert Searle of Black & Veatch for another interesting site visit yesterday to look inside the Pump House & a final visit into one of the water cells before it gets filled up in December.

The landscaping (covering of the building) has mostly been completed and the stakes indicating the planting inserted into the ground – final positions to be determined.

Come the Spring we should see the results of the grass seeding and a return to a fresh green environment.

Earley New Reservoir Project

It’s a long time since I have visited the site and as you can see from the picture a great deal of work has been done and the final levelling of the earthworks is taking place.

It’s hard to believe that there is a vast cavern below which many of us have had the opportunity to walk around.

It will be interesting to see the finished area after a long gap.
